I spent most of February 2007 at ELWA, Monrovia, Liberia, helping with lightning damage prevention, renewing friendships, and being an encourager. Joan and I are thankful for generous partners through whom the Lord provided finances for this good trip.
Since French is the trade language in la Cote d'Ivoire, we were
sent to Switzerland to study French. Learning to downhill ski was an exhilerating perk! !
For nine years we were loaned from SIM to
HCJB GLOBAL.
Many friends, relatives, and churches partner with us by prayer and giving. Some of the churches have websites:
BETHANY BAPTIST CHURCH
and
NORTH POINTE CHURCH
and
SOUTH CHURCH
My parents stored up treasures in Heaven by investing in various mission causes. Missionary radio was a cause that was close to their hearts because Mother listened to Bible teaching on the radio most of her life.
The original shortwave antenna systems at ELWA were built to withstand lightning strikes, but the new FM system needs more protection.
THANK YOU for your prayers covering the trip which was BLESSED brom beginning to end.
Liberian food AGREED with me and I had NO stomach problems! LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME ALONG ON THE NEXT TRIP!
